François D'Allaines produces wines respectful of the environment. The world famous wine is made and aged in oak barrels, using very little new wood so he does not impart a new wood taste in the wine.   This classic Meursault sets itself apart from it neighbors by being one of the very few organic wines made in this region, making this a rare prized treasure.  François'  production is made from grapes  purchased from neighboring growers who share Francois' same standards of quality. Throughout the growing season he is in continual dialogue concerning the health of the vines and the quality of the grapes.  Premier Cru or Village Burgundy, the rigors of vinification are identical.  About 65% of the production is exported to England, USA, Japan Canada, and Iceland.
