Zinnkoeplfe Alsace Grand Cru Wines

Domaine Eric Rominger is located in Southern Alsace.  Claudine and Eric cultivate with respect to the natural balance of the soils by practicing biodynamic and organic farming. The wines reflect the variety of unique soil and geographic opportunities.  Zinnkoepfle a Grand Cru parcel that dominates their valley with very, very steep slopes down to the valley below; this steep descent over the limestone and sandstone hillsides is what gives the transparent and clear expression of Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer and Riesling Wines. 

Eric comes from a long line of wine producers. Eric and Claudine took over a 5 acre winery in 1986, after Eric finished his oenology training at the Lycee de Rouffachin 2000, they moved to Westhalen and today nearly 20 acres of many different parcels are cultivated there.  Half of their wines are sold locally and the other half can be found in international markets.
