Marsannay Les Longeroies

This wine, the color of a brilliant transparent ruby starts with an open and powerful nose. It will leave an impression of fresh red fruits, and quickly is dominated by floral aromas. The empty glass leaves a spiced pallet of pepper and coriander. Its mouth, as a whole, is pulpy and will leave you wanting more. The very flexible attack is sectioned by a rather medium mouth. The finish is rich and balanced with a beautiful promptness; a retro-smell confirms the impressions of the nose, floral and spiced with smoky undertones. Serve Room Temperature. Delicious!

Soil	White clay base with a variety of minerals located in different parcels.
Vines	98% Pinot Noir and 2% Pinot Beurot from 40- 60 years old vines.
Yield
Vinification	All grapes are hand picked and sorted. A six day temperature controlled pre-fermentation with half of the grapes with their skins and half with out. This is followed by a 22 day fermentation and reassembly with a soft pressing and final juice separation. The final fermentation of 18 months is in oak barrels, half of which are new each year.
