1996, brought with it a Mediterranean climate, the heat allowed and early harvest, September 14th,  and provided the grapes with more natural sugars and lightness.  Described as a mighty year, " The color is golden blonde with a richness of small, sparkling bubbles.  In the nose, a strong essence of butter and raisins.  A very good, rich and composed wine.  A long lasting finish."   G.
